Dimitris P. Kraniotis

Land and water

Raining borders
That threaten me
And I break down doors
To get lost
Beyond deadlines
Inside bodies
That I ignore

A stranger among
my own sins
Stealing land and water
I will defend myself

With cutlery
I decorate the bread
That I buried as a boy
For dreams
That are still hungry
And which I'm stealing irrationally

line break

Blast furnace

Early ash
Of the blast furnace
Thrown into the sea
Like another emigration
Of our fate

The uncertain
Of our will
And the impassable
Of our morality

Every morning
That we mourn dreams
Every night
That we offer promises

line break

Our heart’s visitors

A strange talk
With a stony garment
Threateningly hovers
In our every step
Cold drops of courtesy
Burn our breath

Did hope cease
To visit our heart?

The snow today
Isn’t white
It is colorless
Like the iris of our eyes
Like good morning
Which doesn’t come out of our lips

Did love cease
To visit our heart?

A torn poster
In the whirl of the wind
Our every word
Blue pebbles
Sunk in the blue of the sea
Our dreams

Did poetry cease
To visit our heart?

line break

Courtyard without silences

The flower pot broke
With the silences
Our courtyard has grown

The last night was lost in the weeds
The garden filled with gods
And the cry blossomed tonight
All alone she can no longer remember

If the darkness has illuminated
Weaving illusions
If the sun was trapped
In roots of Erinyes
