EVERY OTHER THURSDAY

Well, the signs are there,

in various political guises.

Yellow signs wobble a tropical rainstorm

along a super highway that opens the ball bearing

doors of a stainless steel refrigerator

nestled in split level architectural

wonder.

but less to marshmallow adults.

Explains how mammoths migrated Wyoming

and both Dakotas.

Though, of course, no mammoths

roam North America today.

In fact, no Chiricahuas, either.

Mammoths and  Chiricahuas vanished

behind porcelain veneers blowing the harmonica

of industry, our newest fossil

of invention.

But, today I’ll take mammoths and Chiricahuas

with a wedge of lime,

if you please.
