Down Among the Knees

Leaning
Leaning the
Lip of ottersplash
Holds hot latelight colors
Buttonbush giggle to myrtle we are
Turtlepatient our
Fossilfeet mark and mark and
Wood Stork wishes accurate sniper
Hunt
Among the knees the
Frogsong fluffs
Black bear ears and
Gator hiss and fountain to
Court her
Chinlifted welcome
Limpkin counts the
Apple snails then
Dearcrash too much to
Hold in two hands

Midcoast

Windmap
Creased and thumbed the
Wonders that can drive a cloud from coast to
Mountain how poem the
Warm wind how
Muscle the
Wet cloud

Mud by the
Bay laurel
Mud and huckleberry promises
Creek is remembering
Drop by reaching rootlet there is
Something to know here a
Thing that was once known

Dolls head and gritty coin the
Broken blue and white
Teacup we are
Tangle and
Deposition bolted
Garden and bunchgrass
We settle
