EXPECTATIONS

So many wars—
Darkness unexpected
Fireworks for my face
A road opened
As soon as sleep walks
into my eyes, I dream of
trust, happiness, love and
good intentions
Soon, it is too little for days,
night, sky
Watching people cry, what about breath?
Breathing in and out is a magnet for
my nose
The country is tattered
Bombs explode in certain areas
Occupying aloneness
What is happening?
Protection is a venture
Something valued
Tomorrow, silence will hit
the wounds
Aimlessly wandering with glasses looking,
my passport is ready
An invitation to leave preoccupies me
while standing in the doorway
A secret, a puzzle
Not understanding…
I tell you, I need extra hours.
