the sighing

     ohmmm

          of a telephone-computer-camera

of a society buzzing as

     a sick bee

          beating its grotesque wings

the enlightened one

     holds receiver to ear

          -hope

with straw hat

van gogh stares

out from his canvas

red beard caressed

by the wind of one

of his last breaths

eyes stabbing with

their somber dignity

posing with one of

his few possessions

before putting a

bullet in his stomach
